Empecé vendiendo quesos de casa en casa. Hoy tengo un equipo en varios países. I started selling cheese door to door. Today I have a team across several countries.
Llegué a Herbalife agotada, con sobrepeso y con depresión. Ni siquiera confiaba: la primera vez pensé que me querían robar. Mi familia tampoco creía; me advertían que no iba a durar. I came to Herbalife exhausted, overweight and depressed. I didn't even trust it: the first time I thought someone was trying to rob me. My family didn't believe in it either; they warned me it wouldn't last.
Lo que me movió fue un susto con mi hija de trece años mientras yo andaba vendiendo en la calle. Ese día entendí que necesitaba otra forma de trabajar. No fue rápido ni fácil, pero fue mío. What moved me was a scare with my thirteen-year-old daughter while I was out selling on the street. That day I understood I needed a different way to work. It wasn't quick or easy, but it was mine.
Voy para sesenta años y sigo aprendiendo. Me interesa sobre todo la gente joven: son quienes van a llevar esto a otro nivel. Y si un día todo esto cambiara, me quedaría escribiendo y dando conferencias, porque lo que enseño no depende de una empresa. I'm turning sixty and I'm still learning. I'm especially interested in young people: they're the ones who will take this to another level. And if one day all of this changed, I'd keep writing and speaking, because what I teach doesn't depend on a company.
